This Halston IV caftan is a made from a red lurex lame. The simple, classic design makes it is an easy way to be instantly dressed up and still entirely comfortable. I have had a gold one of these in the shop just recently and Rachel Zoe wears her gold one often and she just recently posted herself wearing hers again on . This is an incredible and glamorous staple piece that you can wear again and again.

I hunt for both the solid colored jerseys of these and the lame ones and think the metallic ones are just that little bit extra special. I have had both gold and copper versions of this caftan in the shop and was very pleased to find a red one for those who love that extra pop of color. It is a dress that is so easy to wear. It can go from the beach, to entertaining at home with flats, to full on evening glamour. The caftan is cut deceptively simple with a slit front neck and a second slit that goes up the center seam at the front from the hem. The cut is loose and meant to skim over the body. The sleeves come out directly from the body of the caftan and then narrow down towards the wrist. The skirt flows to the floor and widens out as it reaches the hem. The waist is open and easy. If you wanted more definition you could easily add a belt to add shape. This is a wonderful piece with all the minimalist lines that we all love about Halston. Unlined and slips on to wear. The fabric has a slight transparency to it. The loose and easy cut should allow it to fit a range of sizes. There is a tiny repair at the back of the caftan near the bottom hem and am small bare area near the side seam. Please see the two photos after the label shot.
